FirstLine Digital, one of the UK’s largest independent installers of digital, terrestrial and satellite equipment, has recently won a contract working for Axiom Building Services at Whittle Square Gloucester, a new mixed use development from Barnwood Construction.
The project, due to start later this year involves involves the installation of an IRS system into the residential development, approximately 1 mile from J11 M5 motorway and 6 miles from Gloucester City Centre.
Frequently used in communal properties throughout the UK, an IRS system allows residents to receive digital television through an aerial or satellite dish installed at the property.
The first digital switchover took place in Whitehaven Cumbria November 2007 and during the next two years the rest of the UK will switchover to digital when the existing analogue signal will be turned off and replaced with a digital signal.
Carrying out over half a million domestic and commercial installations every year, Chester based FirstLine Digital has 500 employed staff and is supported by a further 500 subcontracted staff throughout the UK. The preferred supplier for the Digital Switchover Help Scheme for the BBC and one of only two mainland business partners to SKY in the UK, First Line Digital have experienced huge growth since being established in 2001.
The company also operates trade counters in Chester, Birmingham and Bristol selling over 1600 product lines and has recently launched an online shop offering a quick, convenient and cost-effective way to buy a wide range of products from its stock of over 1,700 product lines.
