As you might expect, we’re pioneering some of the latest technology solely to make sure we can offer you the best possible service.
We use the latest Mobile Field Technology (MFT) and other systems. For example, each of our engineers is issued with a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), which they use to receive their work electronically, give customers estimated arrival times, record the progress of every job and allocate stock or place orders (our engineers are also the first to use the latest Rover STC meters, which can transfer data directly to their PDA via Bluetooth or USB connection).
Each PDA feeds all this information into our internal systems – most importantly our Operations Centre.
This is essentially the central point of contact for Field Operations. It’s able to provide real-time tracking of engineers so that at any one moment, we can see exactly where any of them are. If you’re expecting an engineer to visit you, it can make all the difference to making sure they arrive on time.
Our Operations staff can track each engineer’s progress and identify if they’re experiencing difficulties – which means they can re-route other available engineers if required, to cover any problems. Or they can keep you informed if there’s likely to be any delay.
And by having systems that seamlessly work together, we can make sure you get technical support where and when you need it.
